South Palm Beach
Explore South Palm Beach as a distinct coastal town, with 3550 South Ocean, beach access, everyday geography and comparisons along South Ocean Boulevard.
The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026
South Palm Beach offers a concentrated coastal setting: condominium buildings along South Ocean Boulevard, the Atlantic to the east and lagoon water to the west. It is a separate town between Palm Beach and Lantana, with a residential character shaped by its narrow barrier-island geography. For a luxury apartment search, the appeal begins with the particular building's relationship to the shoreline.
The distinction from Palm Beach's South End matters. Both share the South Ocean Boulevard corridor, but they belong to different municipalities. A listing's broad “Palm Beach” description should be read alongside its actual street address and town.
At a glance
- Municipality: Town of South Palm Beach
- Setting: Barrier island between the Atlantic and lagoon
- Main route: South Ocean Boulevard, also known as A1A
- Profile in this collection: 3550 South Ocean
- Useful comparison: Contemporary beachfront residences versus established buildings farther north along the same corridor
A residential stretch of the coast
The Town's adopted comprehensive plan describes a predominantly multifamily residential community whose everyday commercial services are supplied by neighboring places. South Ocean Boulevard is its only public road. This makes the route from a building to shopping, dining and mainland destinations part of the home comparison.
Consider a normal day rather than a single trip to a showing: where you would buy groceries, meet friends and take a walk. Start those trips at the actual driveway. The condominium's own outdoor spaces and common rooms can play a substantial role in daily life here.
Begin with 3550 South Ocean
3550 South Ocean is this collection's contemporary anchor: 30 residences in a seven-floor oceanfront building. Its angled façade and terraces distinguish it from a conventional rectangular tower. The architect's sawtooth plan responds to the narrow site, making the orientation of an individual apartment especially useful to examine.
The developer describes direct beach access. Within the building, compare a regular terrace with a penthouse's separately configured rooftop space. Also examine the route between parking, the residence and outdoor facilities; those relationships explain more about daily use than a bedroom count alone.
Beach access and nearby public space
An ocean-facing apartment and a convenient route to the sand are separate qualities. Establish which path belongs to the condominium and how residents and guests use it. Outdoor seating, steps, gates and storage for beach equipment all affect the routine.
To the south, Lantana Municipal Beach Park at 100 North Ocean Boulevard supplies another public coastal destination, with pavilions, a playground, restrooms and showers. It is a Lantana facility; condominium ownership in South Palm Beach does not by itself establish a particular parking permit or resident privilege there.
Compare the southern coastal corridor
Use Bellaria for an established oceanfront comparison in the Town of Palm Beach. Thirty-Three Sixty adds another South Ocean Boulevard condominium with a different building configuration and recreation setting. Carlton Place provides a further established coastal alternative. Compare the actual home, beach route and service program across these addresses, keeping each municipality clear.
The Palm Beaches collection connects this corridor with West Palm Beach and Singer Island.
