Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (founded 2006) is the supertall specialist firm responsible for Central Park Tower (2020), the 1,550-foot Extell development at 217 West 57th Street that is the tallest residential building in the world. The firm's commission produced 179 residential condominiums above the Nordstrom flagship retail base, with sponsor-finished interiors by Rottet Studio in the building's upper-tier inventory. Smith's broader portfolio (he co-designed the Burj Khalifa during his prior tenure at SOM) and the firm's structural engineering approach have established Central Park Tower as among the most architecturally and engineering-distinct supertalls of the Billionaires' Row corridor.
