Biography
Deborah Berke Partners is the New York architecture firm led by Deborah Berke — Dean of the Yale School of Architecture and the first woman to hold that post — known for a restrained, materially rich modernism across residential, cultural, and academic work. For 40 East End Avenue, a ground-up Upper East Side condominium, Berke drew on the architectural heritage of the East End Avenue neighborhood where she has long lived, giving the building a textured brick facade and a deliberately human scale.
