Lost Tree Village Community Guide

Compare Lost Tree Village oceanfront estates, lakefront homes, golf cottages and condominiums, with beach and club life in the North Palm Beach area.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Lost Tree Village combines a private golf community with an unusually varied coastal residential setting. Oceanfront estates, Intracoastal properties, inland lake homes, golf cottages and condominiums all belong in the search. The appeal depends on which part of that landscape you want to inhabit: a beach-facing terrace, a house beside the course or a more compact residence near club activity.

Lost Tree uses a North Palm Beach mailing address but lies in unincorporated Palm Beach County. It is a community in the northern Palm Beaches, separate from the Town of Palm Beach and the incorporated Village of North Palm Beach.

A village with several distinct settings

The development company's account describes tree-lined streets, inland lakes, private docks and ocean beaches within one community. That variety gives Lost Tree a different residential composition from a neighborhood made entirely of golf-course houses. A single community-wide price or average house size is a poor starting point for choosing a home.

Begin with the setting. Atlantic frontage puts the beach at the center of the day and favors a residence designed around the ocean-facing rooms and outdoor areas. Along the Intracoastal, the outlook and the relationship to a dock become more prominent. Inland lake and golf properties offer other ways to enjoy open views while retaining a private house and garden.

These settings should remain separate in a shortlist. A lake view does not establish a navigable route or a usable dock. A property described as waterfront needs to be understood by its particular water body, shoreline and legal access, rather than by the word alone.

Estates, cottages and condominiums

Lost Tree's specialist residential guide distinguishes garden, golf, ocean and several lake settings. It also identifies oceanfront condominium buildings, golf cottages near the main clubhouse, and club suites. These are meaningful differences in how much private space an owner maintains and how closely the residence relates to common facilities.

For an estate, compare the house and grounds as one plan. The placement of bedrooms, shaded outdoor dining, guest accommodation and the pool can make two similarly sized properties feel quite different. A golf-facing lawn and a secluded garden answer different preferences, even when both houses offer the same bedroom count.

A condominium brings a different ownership structure and a shared building into the decision. The ocean view may be the attraction, but elevator access, parking, terrace configuration and the division of maintenance responsibilities are equally relevant to a seasonal home. Cottages and suites can offer a smaller footprint near the club; their legal form, guest arrangements and permitted use need to match the intended purchase.

Architectural variety is part of the established housing stock. The more useful distinction is often between a house whose layout already works and one requiring a substantial redesign. Lost Tree's architectural review process also makes exterior changes a community matter. A proposed addition, revised pool area or new landscape plan should be assessed against both the available site and the applicable approvals.

Golf and beach life

Lost Tree Club is a member-owned club founded in 1961. It operates throughout the year, with a stronger seasonal emphasis from October into May. That pattern is relevant when deciding whether the community will be a winter base or a year-round home.

Golf sits alongside tennis, fitness and dining in the community's recreational life. The beach adds another destination and another reason to compare the residence's position within the village. An oceanfront condominium, a garden house and a cottage near the clubhouse place those activities at different points in the daily routine.

For a household with different interests, touring both the home and the relevant facilities is especially useful. Consider how often you would move between the house, beach and club, and whether the residential setting still works on days spent entirely at home. The preferred balance varies by buyer.

Waterfront and ownership details

Keep Intracoastal and Little Lake Worth properties in separate boating comparisons. A dock's dimensions, authorized use and route to open water must suit the actual vessel. An attractive water view or an existing lift does not by itself settle draft, clearance or dock rights. This is particularly important when comparing a lake-side house with a directly Intracoastal-facing property.

The property owners association, a condominium association where applicable, and Lost Tree Club serve different roles. Residential ownership should be evaluated with the specific club admission and membership arrangements for the purchaser. For a condominium or cottage, identify the full set of governing documents rather than assuming that every Lost Tree residence carries the same obligations.

Useful community comparisons

Seminole Landing, immediately to the north, is a useful coastal estate comparison. Its residential association is separate from neighboring Seminole Golf Club, making the club relationship an essential distinction.

Old Marsh Golf Club shifts the emphasis inland to a smaller residential community, a Pete Dye course and wetlands. St. Andrews Country Club in the Boca Raton area offers a larger custom-home community with two golf courses and a broad recreation program.
