Surfside
Surfside is a small oceanfront town on the barrier island between Miami Beach to the south and Bal Harbour to the north, with Collins Avenue as its main road. Its town center runs along Harding Avenue. Bal Harbour Shops, the open-air retail center, is a short distance north.
The Waves stands at the northern part of Surfside, near the Bal Harbour line. Bal Harbour's retail and the Miami Beach hotel corridor are each a short drive away. The 2021 collapse of Champlain Towers South occurred in Surfside and led to Florida's current condominium inspection and reserve rules.

Recorded sales history
Recorded transfers for this building in Miami-Dade County public records, back to Dec 1991. Prices reflect the recorded consideration; transfers the Property Appraiser does not qualify as arms-length are shown unmarked. Nominal-consideration paper transfers (deeds into trusts and LLCs, estate and family transfers, corrective deeds) are part of the record but not sales, and are omitted from this table. Recording lags closing, so the newest sales can take several weeks to appear.
