The Roebling Index · Washington Heights & Inwood

Inwood

Inwood occupies Manhattan's northern tip, bounded by Inwood Hill Park and the Harlem River, with a pre-war and Art Deco apartment stock built largely in the 1920s and 1930s. It carries the lowest condominium pricing in the index and the most parkland per resident. Buyers are predominantly owner-occupants buying more space than their budget would reach further south, and almost all are financing — making this the most rate-sensitive submarket in the index.
