The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Old Palm Golf Club is an estate community in Palm Beach Gardens with golf at the center of its identity and a developed wellness and dining program around it. Its range of named neighborhoods gives buyers several ways to approach the search, from a more compact residence to a custom estate with extensive indoor and outdoor space.

The community lies north of PGA Boulevard between the Central Boulevard corridor and Florida's Turnpike. Its public infrastructure district confirms that it is within the City of Palm Beach Gardens. For buyers comparing northern Palm Beach County clubs, Old Palm is a useful place to examine how a golf routine, an individual house and shared club facilities fit together.

Choose a residence format first

Old Palm's club recruitment profile identifies five residential categories: Golf Estates, Grand Estates, Isle Estates, Cottages and Custom Estates. The names are a starting point for organizing a tour, but the actual floor plan, lot and renovation history determine how a residence will work.

Compare the distribution of space as closely as the overall size. A house with guest rooms grouped around a shared living area serves visits differently from one with more separated accommodation. Covered outdoor areas, storage and the route between garage and kitchen can matter as much in daily use as formal entertaining rooms.

The club describes residences set among golf and preserve landscapes. At an individual property, determine which parts of the outlook belong to the lot and which are adjoining land. For a home facing the course, visit the terrace and pool during play. For a more enclosed setting, consider whether the planting provides the daylight and usable garden space you want.

Buyers planning changes should bring the intended scope into the search early. An interior redesign, a pool alteration and a larger addition make different demands on a house and site. Ask the owners' association for the applicable design process before choosing a property around an assumed expansion.

Golf practice and the club setting

The golf offering includes Raymond Floyd's 18-hole course, an additional 19th hole and a 33-acre Golf Studio with three full-length practice holes, according to the club's recruitment brief. For someone who likes to practice between rounds, that separate facility is a meaningful part of the comparison with other clubs.

The clubhouse and newer amenity spaces also warrant a visit. Project engineer Simmons & White documents the conversion of the former fitness center into a bistro with outdoor seating and a poolside bar, alongside construction of a Lifestyle Center and pool. The club's brief describes fitness, spa and casual gathering spaces. These are useful facilities to compare with the private gym, pool or entertaining areas a buyer may otherwise want inside the house.

Try a practical tour sequence: the residence, the practice area, the clubhouse and the wellness facilities. That helps establish whether the community supports the way you expect to spend an ordinary day. Current programs and membership access should be confirmed with the club.

Understand the three operating roles

Old Palm's community development district publishes its responsibilities for infrastructure, including surface-water management, drainage and certain road and perimeter improvements. The district's website separately directs owners to the HOA and Old Palm Foundation for association and permitting matters. The club's recruitment brief also states that POA management is separate from club management.

For a purchase, assemble the property-specific association obligations, club terms and district information together. This makes it easier to understand who maintains which assets and where recurring charges arise. A club membership discussion alone does not explain every obligation associated with the residence.

Reading closed sales

This guide does not publish community sales figures. Old Palm's neighborhoods differ in land, condition and layout, so compare a property with closed sales of similar houses rather than with a community-wide number.

Extend the comparison

The Bear's Club offers another estate-and-villa search organized around a private golf club. Frenchman's Creek adds a separate beach club in Juno Beach. Admirals Cove is particularly relevant when marina access and waterfront housing belong beside golf on the shortlist.
