Who Davis & Partners is
Davis & Partners appears in the record principally as the development and construction partner to RFR Holding — Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs's firm — on two well-regarded Lenox Hill condominiums completed in 2001. On both, RFR is the lead sponsor most associated with the projects, with Davis & Partners named as the co-developing partner that helped drive the ground-up construction and delivery.
An honest note: as a standalone firm, Davis & Partners has a limited public paper trail — reporting on its ownership, leadership, and full portfolio is thin beyond these RFR partnerships, and it should not be confused with unrelated firms sharing the "Davis" name in other markets. What is well documented is its role on the two buildings below, which is where a buyer's attention belongs.
Buildings by Davis & Partners
Davis & Partners projects profiled on this site — both developed with RFR Holding, which is the lead sponsor on each:
- 188 East 78th Street (The Empire) — a 2001, 32-story, 72-residence full-service Lenox Hill condominium in a traditional brick idiom, designed by Hartman-Cox with SLCE
- 300 East 77th Street (The Seville) — a 2001, 31-story Robert A.M. Stern condominium with an indoor pool, on the Second Avenue corner of East 77th Street
Reputation and what a buyer should know
On build quality, we found no construction-defect litigation or homeowner-defect complaint against either building; both are regarded as sound, well-amenitized, full-service condominiums that have held up as durable resale product. The honest caveats are two: Davis & Partners was the partner to RFR, not the solo sponsor, so a buyer weighing track record should read the two firms together and treat RFR as the lead; and because Davis's standalone public record is thin, building-level diligence — offering plan and current financials, lien and title status, warranty history — carries the weight here.
The Roebling Team on Davis & Partners buildings
We publish developer profiles because a buyer choosing a condominium is, in part, betting on who built it. On The Empire and The Seville, that means an RFR-led partnership delivering two solid, full-service Lenox Hill buildings that have aged well. We bring that building-by-building context to every transaction.
