Why The Estates at Acqualina — 888 Tower matters
The 888 Tower is the boutique tower of the two Estates at Acqualina buildings: 94 residences over 52 floors, at most two per floor. The Trump Group built both on a 5.6-acre oceanfront site next to its own Acqualina Resort & Spa, which opened in 2006. The Estates is the third phase of that Collins Avenue campus, after the resort tower and the Mansions.
Villa Acqualina is a three-story clubhouse, and the grounds have pools, cabanas, sports courts and a surf simulator. Residents also have access to the neighboring resort; ask for the terms.
The 888 Tower has no more than two residences per floor and private elevators. The residences were delivered furniture-ready, with appliances, imported stone countertops and smart-home systems installed, ready to furnish.
Sunny Isles Beach and the Acqualina site
Sunny Isles Beach is a barrier-island city on Collins Avenue, between Golden Beach to the north and Haulover Park to the south, with the Atlantic to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west. The beachfront is lined with condominium towers, and Collins Avenue is the main through street. Aventura Mall and the Aventura medical and retail district are about ten minutes by car, and Bal Harbour Shops are a short drive south.
The Acqualina campus runs along Collins Avenue from about 17749 to 17975. The Trump Group closed on the site in 2017 and broke ground in 2018. The 888 Tower is the northern of the two buildings by street address, at 17975 Collins Avenue. The resort tower with Acqualina Ocean Residences, the Mansions at Acqualina and the Estates share the campus.
The site offers ocean frontage, tower-scale services and an amenity set on the grounds. Sunny Isles is more car-dependent than South Beach or Brickell.
Architecture and unit composition
The towers are cast-in-place concrete, built by Coastal Construction under a contract signed in October 2018. Karl Lagerfeld designed the lobbies of both towers.
The 888 Tower is the boutique tower, with no more than two residences per floor. The 777 Tower is the larger building, with 154 residences on a floor plate of about 22,000 gross square feet.
Special units in the 888 Tower include one- and two-story penthouses in the developer's Platinum Collection. Residences have ceilings of 10 feet 6 inches, imported stone, smart-home systems and primary baths with freestanding tubs and steam showers.
Building operations
The service model is full-service: concierge, 24-hour valet, housekeeping and in-room dining, children's and pet programs, laundry and dry cleaning, and a house car on request. Villa Acqualina holds a spa and fitness center of about 13,000 square feet, a restaurant, and the entertainment floor with the skating rink, bowling lanes, simulators and theater.
For a specific purchase, ask for what the current budget covers, which services are included and which are billed, how costs are split between the 888 and 777 condominiums and the amenity building, the structural integrity reserve study, and the most recent financial statements. Florida's milestone inspection and structural integrity reserve study rules apply to condominium buildings of three or more stories; ask for the inspection report, the reserve study and any assessment history.
Policy framework
Pet, rental and minimum-lease rules are set by the association; confirm at offer stage. Ask how the amenity building and any resort access are governed, and what dues or membership charges apply.
Sales context
The Trump Group announced the project in 2016. The 777 Tower dates to 2022 and the 888 Tower to 2023. The 888 Tower's closings include first sales from the developer as well as resales.
A single recorded sale in March 2026 closed at $9.7 million. That is one trade, not a building price. Price per square foot depends on floor, ocean exposure, plan and whether the residence has been finished. Compare a unit to others in its line, floor range and finish level.
Unit-level transaction history is maintained in The Roebling Research Library and shared with clients during diligence.
What to know if you're buying at the 888 Tower
Identify the tower. The 888 and 777 towers are separate condominiums with different plan mixes, and listings sometimes blur them. Ask for the floor plan and the association's size schedule.
Price the finish. Furniture-ready describes the original delivery, not today's condition. Ask what each owner has changed since, and which furnishings and fixtures convey.
Read the shared-cost terms. Ask how the amenity building and any resort access are paid for.
What to know if you're selling at the 888 Tower
Price against your line. Use trades in your plan and floor range, not the penthouses.
Have the documents ready. Budget, reserve study, financial statements and inspection status shorten diligence.
