One Thousand Ocean
A guide to One Thousand Ocean at Boca Raton Inlet, with its curved architecture, private arrival arrangements and oceanfront setting.
The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026
One Thousand Ocean occupies the point beside Boca Raton Inlet, where the Atlantic shoreline meets the waterway leading inland. Completed in 2010, the condominium has a curved plan that responds to this unusually exposed site. The inlet, open ocean and more sheltered water create distinct outlooks within one address.
The building is a useful starting point for a buyer who places architecture and private outdoor space alongside a conventional ocean view. Its relationship to the point matters as much as its height: orientation changes the balance of boat activity, horizon and neighboring shoreline visible from a home.

A plan shaped by the inlet
Garcia Stromberg developed the design around a nautilus form, using concrete, glass, wood and steel. The curved composition gives the building a different character from a straight tower organized around repeated rectangular apartments. Changes in the outer edge affect room orientation and the shape of outdoor areas.
That distinction should carry into a residence comparison. A broad curved terrace and a more regular balcony can have similar stated areas while accommodating furniture very differently. The useful question is how the living rooms, bedrooms and outdoor space connect, rather than whether the apartment carries the same bedroom count as another offering.
Private arrival and outdoor rooms
The original architectural program includes private elevator lobbies, individual parking garages and plunge pools. These features bring elements associated with a house into the condominium setting. The garage-to-elevator route and the privacy of the arrival lobby become part of the residence itself.
Pool and terrace arrangements should be matched to the particular unit. Their servicing, access and maintenance responsibilities can be as important as their size. A generous outdoor room also needs to be considered at different times of day, particularly when deciding between exposure to the inlet and the open Atlantic.
The individual apartment
The County identifies the property legally as Ocean Residences at Boca Beach Club. That name is useful when matching a listing to condominium records. The One Thousand Ocean marketing name and the legal condominium identity describe the same setting through different records.
SZE Architects includes an individual One Thousand Ocean apartment renovation in its portfolio. The building's 2010 origin therefore does not describe the condition or interior design of every home offered today. Original finishes, later alterations and combined spaces require their own reading of the plans.
Within the Boca waterfront collection
Luxuria and Aragon provide comparisons along the Atlantic beachfront. Boca Beach Residences shifts the emphasis to Lake Boca and a smaller residential campus. Those settings offer different relationships to water, even when a residence has a wide view.
Association charges, capital work, outdoor-area responsibility and any separately arranged club access belong beside the residence comparison. The neighboring resort is a geographic reference; any membership benefit should be established in the applicable agreement.
