Jonathan's Landing Community Guide

Explore Jonathan’s Landing in the Jupiter area: waterfront and golf neighborhoods, condominiums, townhomes, boating access and optional club membership.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Jonathan's Landing combines golf, boating and a broad range of homes along the Intracoastal in the Jupiter area. Its 27 villages include detached houses, attached villas, townhomes and condominiums, giving it a different residential mix from communities consisting almost entirely of large estates.

Club membership is optional, an important distinction for someone who wants the setting without making a full golf commitment. The community has Jupiter mailing addresses but lies in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

A planned community with varied neighborhoods

The county approved the original planned unit development in 1973, with residential, golf, commercial, civic and marina components. The present property owners association describes roughly 607 acres, including substantial lakes and waterways. The community developed as a collection of villages, and their different identities remain central to understanding the housing.

Mediterranean architecture appears in Barrow Island and Hidden Cove, while Longshore has Bermuda-style houses. Jonathan's Island contains custom homes. Cape Pointe offers clustered townhomes, and Waterbend provides garden condominiums. Southporte adds a taller condominium format. Those are materially different products sharing the Jonathan's Landing name.

Water frontage also varies. Baytowne includes both homes on saltwater with private docks and homes facing golf. Other villages face freshwater lakes or gardens. Establish whether a particular parcel has navigable frontage, a private dock, shared access or only a water view; the general community description cannot answer that for every residence.

As a compact-home example, county records identify Waterbend unit 277 at 16885 Waterbend Drive as a two-bedroom condominium built in 1985, with 1,818 square feet of recorded area. That example should not be used as a size benchmark for the custom-home villages.

Golf in two locations

Jonathan's Landing Golf Club operates three courses across two settings. The Village course lies within the coastal community and underwent a Beau Welling Design renovation in 2024. The Match and Medal courses are at the separate Old Trail property to the west. The club credits the Match renovation to Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner and the Medal design to Tom Fazio.

The Village also has tennis and pickleball, a wellness center, spa and dining. When comparing homes, distinguish proximity to the Village facilities from the trip to Old Trail. Three club courses do not mean three courses adjoining every residential village.

The marina adds a further reason to consider the area. Boat storage or dockage needs its own inquiry into availability, vessel dimensions and terms. A house purchase or club membership should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular slip.

Ownership and carrying costs

Optional club membership allows the residence and recreational commitment to be considered separately. It does not eliminate property owners association or village-level charges. A condominium additionally requires a close understanding of what its association maintains and how it funds common building work.

Request the master and village budgets, relevant reserve information, current assessments and the governing documents for the property being considered. If joining the club, add the appropriate initiation and dues schedule; if keeping a boat, add the actual dock or storage arrangement. Comparing those components separately produces a more useful picture than one generalized monthly fee.

Useful comparisons

Admirals Cove offers another Jupiter golf-and-boating community. The Loxahatchee Club is useful for a smaller inland golf setting, and Lost Tree Village provides a separate coastal club comparison. Explore the wider Palm Beaches community collection.
