Le Rivage Community Guide

Explore Le Rivage, a small lakefront estate community in the Boca Raton area, with conservation land, a nature path and custom architecture.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Le Rivage is a small residential enclave where the lake and surrounding conservation land are central to the setting. Its homes face water, with a limited number of properties sharing a landscape that includes preserved ground and a nature path. The result is a distinct option for buyers who want an estate residence and a quieter form of shared recreation.

The community is in the Palm Beach County Agricultural Reserve and uses Boca Raton mailing addresses. Its appeal comes from the relationship between developed and preserved land. That relationship should be understood as part of the property, not simply as a scenic backdrop.

At a glance

  • Ownership focus: Custom-home condition, landscape restrictions and association obligations

A landscape with a documented identity

Le Rivage received its initial National Wildlife Federation Community Wildlife Habitat certification in July 2025. The program identifies a 40.7-acre planned development with 18 approved homes and an 80 percent preservation component. The certification provides a useful way to understand the community's landscape priorities without turning them into a promise about the wildlife seen on any particular visit.

The association's nature path and multi-sport court give residents ways to use the common grounds. Tennis, pickleball and basketball share the court setting. Walking, the lake outlook and the planting are therefore prominent parts of daily recreation alongside the private facilities of each residence.

The important property distinction is between land owned with a home and land that creates its view. A conservation area can provide valuable separation, but it should not be treated as private garden space that the purchaser is free to alter. Review the survey and applicable landscape restrictions before planning a terrace extension, planting change or other work near the water.

Custom architecture and outdoor rooms

The community includes individually designed estates. One example in Steven Sellers Contracting's portfolio uses Italianate Mediterranean architecture, with barrel tile, stucco, cast-stone detailing and mahogany millwork. The builder describes a residence of approximately 7,200 square feet; that is a project example, not a community-wide size range or an identification of the original developer.

Such architectural details should be considered alongside the plan. An arched loggia may provide a sheltered outdoor room, while a courtyard can organize circulation between different parts of a house. Examine whether the shaded areas serve the rooms used most often and whether the principal views can be enjoyed from a normal seated position inside.

The level of custom detail also affects a renovation. Replacing one finish is different from changing the proportions of a formal entrance, staircase or series of arched openings. A buyer who prefers a more restrained interior may find that selective changes work well, but the intended result should be evaluated against the existing architecture.

Owning within a small community

With a limited number of homes, shared maintenance and future improvements deserve careful attention in the association budget. The landscape, access arrangements and recreational facilities all have ongoing costs. These sit beside the expenses of the private residence and its pool, grounds and building systems.

Current documents should identify association charges, contributions due at a transfer and the approval process for exterior work. An unstated fee is not an indication that no charge applies. The purchase comparison should also include the extent of property management needed when the house is unoccupied.

Useful comparisons

Le Lac offers another inland lake-estate setting with larger individual parcels in some cases. Long Lake Estates is useful for comparing private grounds, while The Preserve offers a more compact residential neighborhood with shared recreation.
