About the building
134 West 83rd Street is a ground-up condominium completed in 2019 on the combined site of two older buildings. DHD designed a handmade gray-brick façade above a natural-stone base, with large divided-light windows. The six-story new-building application received DOB sign-off in April 2019. The condominium filing was accepted the preceding September.
The building has a garden duplex at the base, four floor-through apartments above and a duplex penthouse with a private roof terrace. Every residence has a balcony or terrace. The middle floors have north and south exposures and four-bedroom layouts of approximately 2,066 square feet; the penthouse and garden home have larger internal plans. Keyed elevators open directly into the apartments. In-unit washers and vented dryers, central heating and cooling, and dedicated cellar storage accompany the homes.

Sales sourced from NYC Department of Finance recorded transfers (BBL 1-01213-7507) and verified listing data. Apartment-level facts (line, condition, asking-price context) curated and cross-verified by The Roebling Team research desk. How to read the facts on this page. Items attributed to an offering plan describe the building as it was offered at that filing — unit mix, square footage, the amenity program as planned. They are not a statement about how the building operates today. Tax and compliance figures are sourced separately to current City records and carry their own dates. House rules, staffing and fee policy can change by board resolution without any public filing: treat every policy line here as a starting point for diligence and confirm it with the managing agent. Where this page compares one building or neighborhood to another, that is our analysis of the recorded record — it names the measure, the period and the sample it rests on, and it is an observation about medians rather than a prediction about any particular apartment.
