About the building
205 Java Street is a ground-up condominium developed by BQM with architecture by Melamed Architect. Its facade combines Corten steel, timber and extensive glass. The condominium offering was accepted in April 2024, and the building was delivered that year. Six full-floor residences occupy a narrow Greenpoint site, with the elevator opening directly into the homes.
The accommodation ranges from one to three bedrooms. Plans include a lower duplex and larger upper-floor homes, with balconies or terraces extending the living areas outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling insulated windows, open living-and-dining rooms and in-unit laundry appear throughout the offering. The top residence adds a larger penthouse plan. Private outdoor areas are separate from the shared roof deck, which is available to the condominium as a whole.

Sales sourced from NYC Department of Finance recorded transfers (BBL 3-02541-7507) and verified listing data. Apartment-level facts (line, condition, asking-price context) curated and cross-verified by The Roebling Team research desk. Not all transactions cross-verify with ACRIS records — sponsor and LLC purchases sometimes record at stipulated values rather than market price; square footage from recorded condo declarations and offering plans.
At the recent median sale of $1.68M (7 sales since 2024), a buyer putting 25% down would pay about $70,050 to close, or 4.2% of the price.

What to know if you’re buying
Six owners share an elevator and roof deck. These common facilities create recurring service and repair obligations for a small association. Their costs are allocated through the condominium's common interests, and a lender may apply additional review to a six-residence project.

How to read the facts on this page. Items attributed to an offering plan describe the building as it was offered at that filing — unit mix, square footage, the amenity program as planned. They are not a statement about how the building operates today. Tax and compliance figures are sourced separately to current City records and carry their own dates. House rules, staffing and fee policy can change by board resolution without any public filing: treat every policy line here as a starting point for diligence and confirm it with the managing agent. Where this page compares one building or neighborhood to another, that is our analysis of the recorded record — it names the measure, the period and the sample it rests on, and it is an observation about medians rather than a prediction about any particular apartment.
