Cove 4

A guide to Cove 4, the four-residence Intracoastal condominium at 344 Venetian Drive, with Richard Jones architecture, single-level homes and rooftop terraces.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Cove 4 is a four-residence condominium at 344 Venetian Drive, directly on the Intracoastal Waterway in Delray Beach. Designed by Richard Jones and built by Seaside Builders, it combines single-level principal living areas with separate outdoor spaces beside the pool and on the roof. The builder records 2020 as the construction year.

Its small scale is central to its identity. This is a waterfront residential building within the coastal neighborhood south of Atlantic Avenue, with the water and the individual home's outdoor areas providing the principal setting. The configuration gives it a distinct place among Delray's apartment buildings, townhome enclaves and detached waterfront houses.

A contemporary building on Venetian Drive

Seaside's completed-project page identifies the four homes and their single-level format. The architecture belongs to the same contemporary coastal vocabulary seen in several of the builder's Delray projects: clearly defined geometric forms, broad openings and an emphasis on the relationship between interior rooms and outdoor living space.

The 2019 construction account credits Richard Jones and describes opening window walls, open interiors and balconies on the elevated residential levels. In this setting, large areas of glazing do more than increase daylight. They make the Intracoastal part of the main rooms' composition and establish a direct visual connection with the waterfront.

The outlook differs from a beachfront address. Cove 4 faces an inland waterway, where nearby shorelines and passing boats form part of the view. Oceanfront alternatives offer a different relationship to the horizon, beach and surf. Both are waterfront settings, but they produce different experiences from the residence itself.

Single-level rooms and separate outdoor destinations

The principal living accommodation is arranged on one level, while the development also provides rooftop terraces. This distinction matters when comparing Cove 4 with a townhouse. The roof is an additional destination rather than a reason to assume that bedrooms and everyday living rooms are distributed across several floors.

The original design also placed private wet-bar areas beside the pool and included elevator access. Together, these features distribute a home's outdoor life among its balcony, the waterfront pool area and the roof. A terrace adjoining a living room supports a different use from a rooftop reached separately; both contribute to the residence, but they are not interchangeable spaces.

Roof terraces were marketed with optional spas and summer kitchens. The individual installation determines what a particular home offers. Exposure, shade and the route from the kitchen to outdoor dining are more informative here than a single combined indoor-and-outdoor area figure.

The pool and waterway edge

The builder's waterfront scheme includes a shared pool, an outdoor lounge and on-site boat slips. The pool provides a communal part of the grounds, while the separately described poolside areas give the four homes a more individual arrangement within that shared landscape.

The dock is a distinctive feature of the address, but residence ownership and a particular slip entitlement are separate questions. The applicable assignment governs the boat accommodation associated with an offering. A waterfront view by itself does not establish a berth or its dimensions.

For someone comparing residential forms, this is a useful middle ground: the building brings several homes together around shared waterfront infrastructure, while its limited size and individual outdoor spaces preserve a more personal scale. That describes the physical arrangement, rather than a promise about staffing or services.

Condominium ownership and local context

Florida corporate records identify Cove 4 Condominium Association at 344 Venetian Drive. The condominium structure connects each residence with the management of the building and shared grounds. Its small number of homes does not turn it into four independent waterfront houses.

The surrounding Seagate neighborhood provides the broader coastal context. Seagate Yacht Club Residences is a useful comparison for a multilevel Intracoastal home. For single-level condominium living in another beachside setting, consider 1177 Moderne; for direct ocean frontage, compare Ocean Delray.
