Sabal Shores

A guide to Sabal Shores, Arvida’s 1970 beachfront condominium facing the Atlantic and Lake Boca Raton, with an oceanfront pool and varied apartment plans.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Sabal Shores occupies the beachfront at 600 South Ocean Boulevard, with Lake Boca Raton across the coastal road to the west. The building was developed by Arvida and dates to 1970, following the firm's earlier condominium work along this part of the shoreline.

Its position between the ocean and lake gives the property a particularly useful range of exposures. Some apartments can look in more than one direction, but the building's waterfront address should not be read as a guarantee that every home has the same view.

The Arvida connection

A 1969 Arvida advertisement presented Sabal Shores as a condominium then under construction. County records give the completed building a 1970 date. Together, those records place it at the transition between Boca's early condominium projects and the larger wave of coastal towers that followed.

The history matters because it explains the underlying building type. This is an established apartment structure whose homes have evolved through individual renovations over many decades. Its appeal depends on the combination of shoreline position, apartment plan and current condition, rather than on a single original interior specification.

The lake to the west adds a second dimension to the setting. A western-facing room can draw its character from boats, shoreline and evening light, while an eastern-facing room relates more directly to the beach and ocean. A corner arrangement may bring those different conditions into the same home.

Homes and interior scale

County records show Residence 1506 as a 1,567-square-foot home with two bedrooms and two baths. A separate 2026 listing described a three-bedroom corner residence of 2,120 square feet. These examples illustrate different configurations without establishing a complete size range for the building.

Shared amenities and costs

The reported facilities include a heated oceanfront pool, fitness center, barbecue and picnic areas, bicycle storage, staffed entry and on-site management. Direct beach access anchors that program. Garage parking and storage arrangements are additional details to check for the specific apartment.

A listing updated June 19, 2026 reported a monthly association fee of $2,700 for its three-bedroom residence. That is a dated example for one unit. It does not establish the present assessment for a different home, or explain the full treatment of reserves and any separately approved work.
