Royal Palm Polo Community Guide

Explore Royal Palm Polo in Boca Raton, a Toll Brothers residential community on former polo grounds with large homes, private pools and shared recreation facilities.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Royal Palm Polo is a Toll Brothers residential community in northern Boca Raton, developed on land previously used by the Royal Palm Polo Club. Its focus is the house and a shared recreation center: substantial interiors, private outdoor space and a staffed entrance form the basic residential offering.

The property is within the City of Boca Raton. Royal Palm Polo is distinct from Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club in east Boca Raton and from the Polo Club of Boca Raton. Similar names should not imply shared membership, facilities or ownership arrangements.

From polo grounds to a residential neighborhood

Toll Brothers'2013 annual report records its acquisition of the former polo club property. The subsequent residential program replaced the sporting grounds with individual homes and neighborhood recreation facilities. The name preserves that history; it does not describe an operating polo program for current residents.

The original specifications emphasized private pools, covered outdoor living areas, large rear openings and substantial garages. These features point to a house designed around both indoor rooms and the garden. They should be checked in the actual residence, since plan choices, construction phases and later alterations can change the result.

A documented property at 6990 NW 27th Avenue illustrates the two-story format and 2019 construction within the community. That single property does not establish the age or floor area of every house. The specific plan and completed improvements are more useful than a broad community-wide description when comparing two listings.

Architecture and the interior plan

Toll Brothers offered multiple designs and personalization choices. Its Carena example emphasizes open living areas, glazing and a connection to the backyard. Other plans can distribute their living and bedroom space differently, so a similar exterior scale need not mean similar day-to-day use.

The distinction is particularly relevant for a larger home. Consider whether the primary suite and a usable guest room are on the preferred level, whether an office has privacy from the main living area and whether upper-floor space will be used regularly. A generous entrance and formal rooms may be attractive, but they are separate from functional bedroom and work space.

Outdoors, compare covered seating, pool dimensions, afternoon sun and usable garden area. An installed pool can simplify a move, while its condition and equipment still require review. On a proposed alteration, verify setbacks and association approval requirements before assigning value to an imagined expansion.

Shared recreation and ownership

The original community program included a roughly 5,000-square-foot clubhouse, fitness center, resort-style pool, six clay tennis courts and children's play facilities. Confirm the current operating program and any later changes during a community visit. The original brochure is useful development history, but it does not establish today's hours or service charges.

The association budget should be reviewed separately from the private house. Confirm the current assessment, gate and common-area services, reserve planning and transfer charges. The existence of shared recreation does not make all private maintenance part of the association fee.

City jurisdiction also should not be used as a shortcut for every service or recreation entitlement. Confirm the address's applicable district and eligibility when a particular public facility matters to the purchase.

Useful comparisons

Boca Bridges provides another substantial-house setting with shared recreation. Lotus Palm and Lotus Edge are useful contemporary-design comparisons. The Boca Raton guide distinguishes these from the area's private golf clubs and coastal neighborhoods.
