50 West Street is Helmut Jahn's posthumous NYC residential statement (Jahn died 2021) — Carter Horsley called it "Helmut Jahn's 'Shimmering Sentinel'" and "a major addition to Lower Manhattan's celebrated and changing skyline."
The defining design move is 3,000 glass panels of which 500 are curved — Jahn said no other building uses curved glass in such volume.
