Architecture at the village level
Woodfield's neighborhoods do not repeat a single architectural theme. Some use brick paving and traditional street lighting; others have Mediterranean references or lighter, Key West-inspired color palettes. Courtyards, garden walls and the spacing of houses contribute to the identity of each enclave.
This variety makes village-level comparisons more useful than a single community-wide size range. A patio home and a custom estate can share access to the same club while requiring very different amounts of maintenance. Compare the exterior responsibilities assigned to the individual owner with those undertaken by the village association before assuming that a smaller residence is easier to leave for extended periods.
The established housing stock also rewards a close look at renovations. A new kitchen may sit within an older circulation plan, while a more extensive alteration may have changed the relationship between indoor rooms and the pool terrace. Evaluate bedroom separation, stairs, storage and everyday garage access before choosing solely on finishes.
The golf and recreation program
The current 18-hole course is a Kipp Schulties design measuring approximately 7,200 yards from its championship tee. An island green at the 17th gives the course a recognizable feature. The golf program includes league play, instruction and tournaments; playing privileges depend on the membership category.
Recreation extends to tennis, pickleball, aquatics, fitness, spa services and dining. Children have a dedicated clubhouse with play and game spaces, together with camps and junior sports programming. These facilities make Woodfield relevant to households with several different routines, including those who use the club mainly for exercise, meals or social activities.
For a serious player, a tour should include the booking arrangements and seasonal program. The presence of courts or a course explains the physical offering; the availability of the desired activity determines how it fits into daily life.
Membership and the ownership structure
Woodfield distinguishes Full Equity from Standard Equity membership. Full Equity includes full golf, tennis and social privileges. Standard Equity includes tennis and social use with limited golf; both categories include the wider dining and recreation facilities.
As reviewed in October 2026, the club states that Full Equity golf membership is sold out, with certain homes offering seller transferability that can bypass the golf waiting list. Confirm that status directly for the specific purchase. A listing's reference to golf is not sufficient evidence of immediate playing access.
The financial review should cover the club, master association and applicable village association. Their charges support different obligations. Obtain current initiation and dues schedules, transfer terms and the residence's assessment statement before deciding how two properties compare.
Useful comparisons
Broken Sound also combines distinct villages with several membership choices. Bocaire Country Club offers a smaller custom-home community, while St. Andrews centers on custom estates. Explore the broader Boca Raton guide for other residential formats.
