Hunters Run Community Guide

Explore Hunters Run in Boynton Beach, an established residential club with condominium, villa and estate-home choices, three golf courses and required membership.

The Roebling Research Desk · October 2026

Hunters Run is an established residential club in Boynton Beach, with condominium, villa and estate-home choices sharing a substantial golf and recreation campus. Membership is required for every property, making the club's admission process and recurring obligations central to the purchase.

The range of housing is important. A smaller condominium and a larger detached-looking residence can provide access to the same broader community while involving quite different maintenance arrangements. The physical form of a home should be considered alongside its legal ownership and neighborhood association.

Development and member ownership

The community's modern history began in 1979, when Ben and Lenny Frankel acquired most of the property associated with the earlier West Wing Golf & Racquet Club. Southport and The Estates were the first residential sections. Members purchased the club in 1989, and the property owners association and club merged in 2000.

That phased history helps explain the variety of residential sections. Houses and apartments should be compared within the appropriate format, construction period and maintenance structure. A single community-wide price or size description would conceal important differences.

County records identify separate condominium sections, including Stratford and Bristol. A property that looks like a house can still require a careful review of condominium documents. Establish responsibility for exterior work, roofs, insurance and landscaping from the actual ownership records.

Golf, racquet sports and ongoing investment

Three golf courses anchor the campus, with racquet sports, fitness, dining and social facilities broadening its use. The range of membership categories allows residents to choose different levels of sports participation, although joining the club itself is mandatory.

The club describes the East Course renovation as complete. Its published improvement program also includes further golf and racquet work scheduled across 2026–27. Those proposed or ongoing projects should be distinguished from facilities already delivered. Confirm construction timing, temporary operating changes and the financial obligations attached to the current program.

Purchasing within the club structure

The official purchase guidance requires applicants to complete the club's approval process before closing. Membership and property review should therefore proceed together, with the current category, initiation charges, annual dues and additional obligations established early.

Compare residential assessments separately from club spending. A low acquisition price for one housing type does not describe its full annual carrying cost, just as a larger house's asking price does not indicate the scope of shared services.

Quail Ridge offers another broad housing mix with required membership. Delray Dunes has a smaller residential scale, while Boca West and Broken Sound extend the comparison south. Hunters Run is best evaluated by matching the residence, ownership structure and membership category to the way the property will be used.
